This trade focuses on the movement of soft commodities such as cocoa, coffee, timber and cotton which often require experise and knowledge in the latest transportation techniques. OT Africa Line has been a renowned West Africa specialist handler of tropical commodities for many years.

All direct services (Weekly, RoRo, Nigerian Express and Angola Shuttle) along with our dedicated feeder services provide unrivalled frequencies of sailings and fast transit times covering Luanda , Libreville , Pointe-Noire, Douala, Lagos Apapa, Lagos Tin Can, Cotonou, Lomé, Tema, Takoradi, Abidjan, San Pedro, Monrovia, Freetown, Conakry, Banjul, Dakar, Nouakchott to main European ports Leixoes, Lisbon, Le Havre, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Hamburg, Felixstowe, Tilbury, Scandinavian ports... for commodities which are often perishable and very sensitive to transit times.

At OT Africa Line, we care about soft commodities and pride ourselves in being able to assist customers to help them chose the best transport because cocoa, coffee, rubber, cotton, timber, charcoal, palm kernels, palm kernel cakes, groundnuts, yams, frozen seafood and cassava chips all have different specific needs and require different equipment and lining / dressing.

With access to a fleet of over 900,000 containers, we can provide ventilated containers, reefer containers, bolsters, flat racks, open top containers, 20ft standard, 40ft standard and 40ft high cube containers to suit your individual requirements.

We can also provide a range of specific lining such as corrugated cardboard and dryer bags for commodities which are prone to condensation, bulkheads for all types of cargoes to be loaded bulk into a container, liner bags for dusty commodities which could damage a container, etc...

The use of Ro-Ro vessels enables us to carry safely conventional air-dried hardwoods as well as out of gauge cargo or project cargo returning to Europe...

Our network of agencies are on hand to provide professional advice and technical assistance on all pre-carriage and stuffing arrangements that maybe required.
