Waiver Information

GABON - CGC Waiver BIC Required From 01/05/05

Please be informed that as from 1st JUne 2005 all export shipments destined to Gabon will have to be covered by a CGC ( Gabon Shipper Council ) waiver ( BIC ) issued in the country of origin of the concerned cargo. Failure to do so shall systematically generate fines from CGC, as per rules and regulations in force.

Gabon - Cargo Registration Note - 08/01/04

Please note that Conseil Gabonais des Chargeurs (CGC), is reinforcing control over BIC waiver (Bordereau d'Identification de la Cargaison/Cargo Registration Note).
We would like to remind all concerned that cargo destined for Gabon must be covered by a BIC prior to loading. It is the agent's responsibility at POL to check that every single shipment is covered by a BIC.

Non compliance with the above will result in CGC fine at a scale of 75 to 100% of freight amount.
