OT Africa Line's 'BAF Calculator' provides customers with a transparent mechanism detailing monthly Bunker Adjustment Factor [BAF] figures.

The BAF is adjustable monthly, provided that the average per ton price for fuel fluctuates – up or down - by over US$10. The BAF calculation is based on:

• The per ton price of fuel observed over a given month (*),
• The average consumption of tons of fuel per container ship on a roundtrip on a specific trade, per full TEU carried

With this initiative, OT Africa Line demonstrates its commitment to provide customers with clear pricing information and to quickly and efficiently respond to changes in the maritime environment.

*CMA CGM group companies calculate the average price of fuel based on average fuel prices reported by PLATTS in the 17 main bunkering ports in which CMA CGM calls.

OTAL Notice - BAF Surcharge - 01/03/10

Following a recent review of the BAF surcharge (Bunker Adjustment Factor) OT Africa Line wishes to announce that the BAF will be adjusted to the following levels effective 1st April 2010.

The low sulphur surcharge is included in the above.

The above will take effect from the following voyages :

OT Africa Line Notice: SB Freight Rate Restoration - 19/08/09

In order to maintain the high level of service expected on our lines to West Africa it has become necessary to implement a general rate increase of

EUR 150 / GBP 130 per teu effective October 1st 2009.

This freight rate restoration will be applied on all containers loaded to our Atlantic Europe and West Mediterranean services to West Africa.

We thank you for your support.

Low Sulphur Fuel Surcharge - 20/08/07

Under EU Directive 2205/33/EC the North Sea and English Channel will be added to the list of Sulphur Oxide Emission Control Areas under the MARPOL Convention 73/78. Vessels operating in these waters will be required to burn low sulphur content fuel.

Therefore a Low Sulphur Fuel Surcharge of EUR 4 – GBP 3 per TEU will be applied to shipments on top of the normal BAF.

These amounts will apply from the following vessels:
