OT Africa Line's 'BAF Calculator' provides customers with a transparent mechanism detailing monthly Bunker Adjustment Factor [BAF] figures.

The BAF is adjustable monthly, provided that the average per ton price for fuel fluctuates – up or down - by over US$10. The BAF calculation is based on:

• The per ton price of fuel observed over a given month (*),
• The average consumption of tons of fuel per container ship on a roundtrip on a specific trade, per full TEU carried

With this initiative, OT Africa Line demonstrates its commitment to provide customers with clear pricing information and to quickly and efficiently respond to changes in the maritime environment.

*CMA CGM group companies calculate the average price of fuel based on average fuel prices reported by PLATTS in the 17 main bunkering ports in which CMA CGM calls.

OTAL Notice - BAF Surcharge - 01/09/10

Following a recent review of the BAF surcharge (Bunker Adjustment Factor) OT Africa Line wishes to announce that the BAF will be adjusted to the following levels effective 1st October 2010.

The low sulphur surcharge is included in the above.

The above will take effect from the following voyages :

General Rate Restoration - Southbound - 01/07/10
Please note that as from 1st August 2010 a general rate restoration will be implemented by OT Africa Line. This restoration is required to maintain the high level of quality requested by customers on our services between Atlantic Europe, West Mediterranean and West Africa.

The amount of the GRR, applicable as from 1st August 2010 date of B/L is:

EUR 100 / GBP 85 per 20’ Container
EUR 180 / GBP 150 per 40’ Container

Ship Security Surcharge [SSC] - 09/04/10

In order to comply with the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code [ISPS], OT Africa Line is obliged to increase the Ship Security Surcharge [SSC] as from 01/05/10 per date of B/L.

The new amount will be USD 10 / Container or EUR 7.50 / Container or GBP 6.50 / Container.

This charge is applicable on all our services including all West African coastal shipments and includes reefers.

This charge includes the vessel security risk assessment, the development of security measures, the vessel ISPS certification, the related security implementation and administrative and operational expenses.
