ISPS Charge for Dunkerque and Amsterdam - 05/11/04

Further to our notice on the 25/10/04 please note the additional ISPS charges below:

These charges will apply from the following vessel :

Roro: Roland R01
ETA - Dunkerque 19/11/04
ETA - Amsterdam 18/11/04

We will inform you about the ISPS charges for other ports as soon as the terminals have announced them.

ISPS & Ship Security Charges - 25/10/2004

The International Convention for the Safety of Life At Sea (SOLAS) has adopted an International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code) that sets new rules and requirements for carriers and terminals to improve vessel and port security against international terrorism.

These rules and requirements have produced additional costs for Ocean carriers (for risk assessment, implementation of additional security measures with related administrative and operational expenses and ISPS Certification). Therefore, OTAL will implement a Ship Security Charge as follows:

The new amounts will be applicable on the following vessels:

Weekly: Nicolas 45H N’B / 50H S’B
Express: Patricia 30E N’B / 34E S’B
RoRo Service: Saint Roch 33R N’B / 38R S’B
Angola Shuttle: Kissama 20A N'B / 23A S'B

These rules and requirements have also produced additional costs for both carriers and terminals alike, thus leading to the implementation of an ISPS Charge that we have to charge for all shipments from or to the ports mentioned in the tables below (these charges have already been implemented) -

We will inform you about the amount for the ISPS Charge for the other ports as soon as the terminals have announced them.
