OTAL – Set
to Beat the Peaks (04/02/05)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bets are on as four intrepid staff from OT Africa Line start training
for the Wooden Spoon Vauxhall Four Peaks Challenge!
Between the 30th June- 2nd July 2005 our team of courageous mountaineers
will attempt to climb four of the highest mountains in Scotland, England,
Wales and Ireland totaling 14,000 feet and driving 1,900 miles non-stop
within 48 hours.

According to OTAL’s UK sales manager and team captain, Spencer
Stocker:
“We’re a group of ordinary people from
all walks of life who enjoy a good challenge! Our team has worked
incredibly hard both
raising funds and has embarked on a strenuous training program but
none of this would be possible without the generosity of our sponsors.
A big thank you to Hamiltons, Belfast; Asmar, Antwerp;
Slavenburg & Huyser,
Rotterdam and OT Africa Line. However we are still in need of sponsorship
so if there are any willing parties please feel free to contact us – Spencer

Wooden Spoon
The ‘Wooden Spoon’ is rugby's charity supporting disadvantaged
children and young people. Created in 1983 after England’s rugby
team were defeated by the Irish. Drowning their sorrows in a Dublin
bar, the English fans were presented wooden spoons by the victorious
Irish.
Down but not out they decided to raise funds for
a local school! The Spoon has since raised more than £8 million
to help support children and young people, challenged by mental,
social and physical disadvantages.
The charity has 10,000 members and has organised some 1,200 events.
