OTAL Notice - OT Africa Line purchased by CMA CGM

The Bolloré group has on the 5th September 2005 finalised the sale of its shipping activities; OTAL, Delmas, Linea-Setramar and a 50% stake in SudCargos to the CMA CGM group.

This operation will strengthen these companies which now rank #3 in the world. The move additionally provides OTAL with access to the complete CMA CGM portfolio of services - a major player in the East-West trade routes.

We are pleased to announce the acquisition of the Delmas shipping group by CMA CGM.

CMA CGM has acquired Delmas, OTAL, Setramar brands, a 50% stake in SudCargoes and Delmas' vessels, containers and headquarters in Le Havre.

In West Africa CMA CGM becomes Bolloré Group's partner for the inland logistics and for the network of agencies.

CMA CGM, a major player on the East-West and North-South trade routes, will benefit from Delmas' commercial positioning in Africa to further develop its worldwide presence.

The complementarities of offers between our two companies, which have worked together for many years, will allow you to benefit from a significantly extended African service network, notably from Asia, the Americas, Indian Sub Continent where CMA CGM is particularly strong.

Through this acquisition CMA CGM will provide you with an even better service with 244 vessels, 900,000 containers, 80 routes, more than 10,000 employees and an enlarged logistics offer in West Africa.

All previous commitments between the Delmas group and its clients will of course be maintained.
