Ernest Bai Koroma was sworn in as Sierra Leone's new
president on 17 September 2007. He won 54.6% of the vote in a run-off
with the incumbent vice-president Solomon Berewa.
The government is formed by SLPP, PDP, DCP and the rebels
movement Armed Forces Revolutionary Council.
The House of Representatives has 124 members, 112 members elected
for a four year term through proportional representation in 14 multi-seat
constituencies with a constituency treshhold of 12.5 % and 12 Paramount
chiefs.
