Please be advised that due to insufficient
rail capacities for 2 months containers in transit to Bamako
suffer longer delays in Dakar before loading on trains. The
present transit time is around 25 days, from cleared in Dakar
to destination. This delay is not likely to improve within
the coming weeks despite all efforts of our local teams. Although
the rail option remains, we suggest you re-route your Bamako
containers via Abidjan, Conakry, Tema or Lomé where
transits by road offers a better transit. We can take all measures
necessary to load containers by truck under request of customers:
a road tariff is already available.
We wish to remind you that new Customs regulations
requested by the Malian Customs Office will be applicable from
2010 and
compulsory from March 2010. The following must be declared
on CTBL transit cargo: Copy of the commercial invoice,
declaration
of the CIF value, NIF of the receiver (Numéro d'identité fiscale)
We are pleased to announce that we are now
able to offer Bissau in Guinea Bissau on a CTBL basis. The
routing is via
the port
of Dakar in Senegal with a road transit of 15 days. For
rates or bookings please contact your nearest OT Africa Line
agent.
